16 June 2006 : Four great SA bands, three eager 52Weeks representatives, one fantastic venue. Blood Money, Running with Scissors, Subrosa and Epicure were playing at the Blues Room in Sandton. Levi’s is doing great things with South African rock, and Sunday 4 June saw them hosting the inspirational, the magnificent, the drunken elephant radio controlled, the rocking Parlotones at the 88 Lounge in Norwood. So on Friday a whole group of 52Weekers (most attendees yet!) headed down to Zanzibar – the bar in Pretoria, not the country – to see what their rock line-up had in store. We were not disappointed.
